योग्य आणि गरजेच्या गोष्टी आपल्याकडून होण्यासाठी संयम असणे फार महत्वाचे आहे.
संयम म्हणजे स्वतःला स्थिर ठेवून निर्णय घेणे. कोणत्याही बाह्य अथवा अंतर्गत चलबिचली पासून स्वतःला अलिप्त ठेवून परिस्थितीचे अवलोकन करण्याची क्षमता हीच संयमाचा मूलभूत आधार आहे. आणि संयमामुळेच योग्य निर्णय घेण्यास मदत होते आणि परिणामी इच्छित परिणाम साधला जातो.
