The tunnel is actually an opportunity to test yourself, and also it gives us a sense 'what light is'. Without the existence of dark, no light will exist in our experience, as, only light will be seen everywhere and no one can sense light separately. Similarly, without efforts, success doesn't exist.
Undoubtedly, the tunnel has an end and you will enjoy the light once it gets over.
