*परिणामांच्या पाठी लपलेल्या कारणांचा शोध घ्या आणि त्या कारणांवर काम करा*
परिणाम सकारात्मक असो किंवा नकारात्मक त्याचा मूळ उगम कोणत्यातरी कारणात सापडतो. कधीकधी कारण सापडणे सोपे असते तर कधी अवघड. खास करून नकारात्मक परिणामांची कारणे शोधणे क्लिष्ट होते कारण नकारात्मक भावना मनावर विवेकविरहित आवरण पसरतात त्यातून स्पष्ट पाहणे अवघड होऊन बसते. अश्या वेळी इतरांची मदत घ्यावी. मात्र परिणामांना नियंत्रीत करण्यापेक्षा जास्त ऊर्जा कारणे शोधून त्यावर नियंत्रण आणण्यासाठी खर्च करावी.
